Add connectivity to finished properties

Retrofit Low-Voltage Wiring

Centurion plans retrofit wiring around the realities of finished walls, occupied spaces, existing pathways, and the system the property actually needs.

Plan a route before opening the building

Retrofit low-voltage wiring requires more investigation than new construction because the cable path may cross finished walls, ceilings, occupied rooms, inaccessible cavities, fire-rated assemblies, existing utilities, and earlier work of uncertain quality. Centurion begins with the device locations, equipment destination, cable requirement, building construction, accessible pathways, appearance expectations, schedule, and areas that cannot be disrupted. The route is selected around the system’s needs and the property’s constraints.

Projects may support security devices, cameras, access control, network drops, wireless access points, intercom, audio/video, or other defined low-voltage equipment. We look for practical reuse of suitable existing cable and pathways, but do not assume an unlabeled cable is usable. Tracing, visual inspection, testing, length, type, route, damage, and termination all matter. When concealment is not reasonable, we explain surface pathway or limited-access options before work begins.

Clean installation with clear boundaries

Centurion performs retrofit wiring for homes and businesses throughout Troy, Miami County, and the greater Dayton area, with larger commercial work considered elsewhere in Ohio. We protect occupied areas, coordinate access, support and route cable appropriately, label both ends, terminate the defined scope, and test where required. Patching, painting, electrical work, hazardous materials, lift access, and specialty construction are identified as separate responsibilities when they are outside the low-voltage scope.

A site visit is often necessary before a firm route or labor expectation can be established. Share the property type, approximate construction age, device and equipment locations, ceiling conditions, occupied hours, known pathways, finish expectations, and project deadline when contacting us. We will distinguish what can be concealed, what requires an alternate path, and what should be coordinated with another trade. The goal is dependable connectivity with the least reasonable disruption, not a promise that every finished wall can be crossed invisibly.
