Healthcare & Mental Health experience
Centurion has performed security and low-voltage work for an occupied mental-health services facility. We do not identify the client or location publicly. That experience reinforces an important lesson: a care environment cannot be approached like an empty commercial shell. Staff, patients, visitors, schedules, privacy, clinical routines, and the need to avoid unnecessary disruption all shape how work should be planned.
The useful questions come before the product choice. Which entrances are public? Which areas are staff-only? How are credentials changed when responsibilities shift? Where would video support safety without intruding on private care? Which doors, alarms, or communication points need a clear response plan? Centurion documents the physical conditions and coordinates recommendations with the facility’s responsible team instead of making assumptions about policy or care operations.
Security systems that support facility policies
A project may include commercial access control, carefully placed security cameras, intrusion detection, panic or duress devices where appropriate, intercoms, structured cabling, and network infrastructure. Existing systems may be serviceable, expandable, or ready for a phased transition. We evaluate the installed condition, administrator access, wiring, door hardware, coverage needs, and service expectations before defining the path forward.
Technology can support a healthcare organization’s security and privacy policies, but an installation does not automatically establish regulatory compliance. We avoid making that promise. Our role is to deliver clearly scoped physical-security and low-voltage work, communicate system capabilities and limitations, and coordinate installation around an occupied environment. Scheduling, infection-control boundaries, escorts, and work-area access remain customer-led parts of that coordination. Call or text Centurion to begin with the facility type, project goals, and the people responsible for security, operations, and compliance decisions.
